Our re-opening date is Monday, June 15th.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, our lives, our YMCA and the way we do things will look differently moving forward.Â
We will be implementing new systems in our YMCA to improve safety and sanitation, based on the government “Restoring Safe Services” guidelines. As we move to the “next normal” it will have an impact on our staff, volunteers, members and participants.Â

We will be opening for members only for the first while. Members will book ahead during pre-determined time blocks and we will be closing the facility for cleaning in between these blocks.
Preventing the Spread
Members will be asked to go through a COVID-19 screening questionnaire during each visit.Â
Maintain a 2 metre distance from other users at all times. Some pieces of equipment will be closed, and others will be removed, to maintain proper physical distancing.Â
Hours of Operation
Phase 1 Operating Hours (June 15â€”July 5)
Our first â€śphaseâ€ť of opening during the first 3 weeks will be with the following hours:
Mondayâ€”Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
The Y will be open in two hour blocks, interspersed by periods of shut down for cleaning.Â
The Dood Cristall Family YMCA will be closed on Canada Day, July 1st.
Phase 2 Operating Hours (beginning July 6)
Mondayâ€”Friday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm & Saturdays 8:00 am â€”1:00 pm
The Dood Cristall Family YMCA will be closed on Monday, August 3rd (Civic Holiday) and Monday, September 7th (Labour Day).
Locker rooms and showers will be CLOSED for the first phase of opening. We are asking members to please shower at home. Plus members will be able to access their lockers only. As per regulations, towel service will not be available.
Booking Your Workout
Please call Member Services at 204-727-5456 to book your workout time. You can book up to 3 days in advance. Prior to opening, we will be taking bookings over the phone for opening week at the following times: June 8â€”12 from 10:00â€”12:00 and 1:30â€”3:30. You can also email firstname.lastname@example.org to book.

We are excited to add some services starting in Phase 2! In addition to expanding hours, we will be opening the pools and fitness classes.
Not Comfortable Yet?
We have extended our Membership Hold program. You can put your membership on Hold for up to 16 weeks. It starts back up when the Hold period is over. If you are not quite ready to come back, putting your membership on Hold is the best option. You now have the option of putting your membership on Hold via email.
